This year, summer officially began on Saturday 20th June 2026, marking the arrival of the longest days of the year. Just a day later, on 21st June, we reached the summer solstice, after which the daylight hours slowly began to shorten once again. It may seem surprising, but from that point onwards, we quietly begin the journey towards autumn.
